Near Eastern Projects

JORDAN

Social Information Exchange in Early Villages – My Master’s research was into the role that stone beads played within early Neolithic. Based on materials from the Dhra’ Archaeological Project, I studied groundstone bead production and use. As part of this project, I have also worked extensively with experimental reproduction and analysis of pointed stone tools. I have also examined stone tool production and how people living together in early villages continued to mark social difference through pointed tools.
